• On receipt of pension papers from the departments, the Accounts Officer shall apply the requisite checks, and assess the amount of pension, commutation of pension, family pension and gratuity and issue the pension payment order within one month from the date of receipt of pension proposal of a Government servant.
  • In cases of retirement otherwise, than on attaining the age of superannuation, the Accounts Officer shall apply the requisite checks, assess the amount of pension, family pension, and gratuity, assess dues and issue the pension payment order within one month of the date of receipt of pension proposals from the Head of Office/Pension Sanctioning Authority.
  • The Accounts Officer shall indicate the name of the spouse of the Government servant, as a family pensioner, in the Pension Payment Order, if such spouse is alive.
  • The Accounts Officer shall also indicate names of permanently disabled child or children and dependent parents and disabled siblings as family pensioners, in the Pension Payment Order, if there is no other member of the family to whom family pension may become payable before such disabled child or children or dependent parents or disabled siblings.
  • The Pension Disbursing Authority shall authorise family pension in favour of eligible members of family referred to in clause (c) or (d) in accordance with the provisions of rule 116 of MCS Pension Rules 1982
  • The amount of gratuity as determined by the Accounts Officer shall be intimated to the Head of Office with the remarks that the amount of the gratuity may be drawn and disbursed by the Pension Sanctioning Authority to the retired Government servant after adjusting the Government dues, if any.
