Shri Atul Prakash, Accountant General, Accounts and Entitlement, West Bengal has assumed charge on 17^th July, 2023 (Afternoon). Shri Prakash belongs to the 2006 batch of Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS).

Shri Prakash is a B.Tech (Hons.) in Electrical & Electronics Engineering(EEE) from National Institute of Technology, Calicut, Kerala in 2001.

Shri Prakash has the wide knowledge of Social, Economic and General Sectors. He worked in MNC Larsen and Toubro Limited in Project Management Sector (EPC Business) from August 2001 to 2004. He was involved in various Performance Audit in the states of Nagaland, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh as well as Goa. He also held the charges of Administration in the office of the DGA (Central Expenditure), New Delhi, DGA (Central Receipt), New Delhi and State Audit Offices. He held certification audit of Finance and Appropriation Accounts in DGA (Central Expenditure) and handled audit of several ministries viz-a-viz Ministry of External Affairs, SC, ST, Home, Labour, Finance, Information & Broadcast etc.

Shri Prakash participated in various International Assignments including Audit of Indian Mission/Posts/PSUs in Bangladesh and South Africa, Audit of UNICEF offices in Jordan and Egypt. He also attended ASOSAI seminar in Nepal, Indo-China seminar in China and Management Development Programme (MDP) in California, USA.
