Smt. Mani K holds a Master of Science degree and a Master in Public Administration (MPA) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), UK, besides holding professional qualifications of Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM).
She joined the Indian Audit and Accounts Service in 2003 and began her career as Assistant Accountant General, Accounts & Entitlement, in the O/o Pr. AG (A&E), Kerala. She subsequently served as Deputy Director (Admn/TFC), Railway Audit, at the O/o DG of Audit, South Central Railway, Secunderabad, and as Deputy/Senior Deputy Accountant General (Admn), State Government Audit, at the O/o Pr. AG (Audit-I), Maharashtra, Mumbai.
She has held key positions as Director, Commercial Audit, at the O/o DG of Commercial Audit and ex-officio Member, Audit Board-II, Kolkata; Director, Central Audit, at the O/o DG of Audit (Central Expenditure), New Delhi; and Director/OSD, Overseas Audit, at the O/o DG of Audit, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She also served as Accountant General (Accounts & Entitlement), O/o Pr. AG (A&E), Bihar, Patna, before proceeding on deputation.
Smt. Mani K brings rich and varied international audit experience, having conducted External Audits of the World Food Programme (WFP), Rome, on multiple occasions, and Embassy Audits across South Africa, Namibia, and Kenya. She has represented the Department at the ASOSAI-sponsored Performance Audit Workshop, Bangkok, the ISSAI Implementation Workshop, Thailand, the Indo-Sino Young Auditor Forum, Beijing & Shanghai, and the Management Development Programme at the University of California, Berkeley. Most recently, she served as Senior Audit Officer with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), Rome, Italy, on deputation, bringing global multilateral audit exposure to her current charge.
