About Pension Function

The Pension Group headed by an IA&AS Officer of the rank of Dy. Accountant General/Sr. Dy. Accountant General deals with verification and authorization of pension claims of 

• All Nagaland State Government Employees.
• Pension cases of All India Service Officers borne on the Nagaland Cadre.
• Chairman and members of the Nagaland Public Service Commission.
• Staff of other Governments drawing pension in Nagaland.
• Political Pensions like MLA Pension,
• The State Election Commission, Chief Information Commissioner, Chairman NPSC etc.

This office also performs the following functions:-

• Issue of Special Seal Authority for certain categories of Nagaland pensioners, who desire to draw pension/family pension from treasury/bank outside this state.

• Issue of authority for additional pension due to grant of Gallantry Award for the recipient.
