Ms Preethi Abraham assumed office as Accountant General (Audit I), Kerala on 11 November 2024. The Accountant General (Audit I) is primarily entrusted with the responsibility of audit of Departments, Public Sector Undertakings and Autonomous Bodies under the audit jurisdiction of this office and give audit assurance.

She belongs to Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS) of 2003 batch. She holds a Masters degree in Economics.  Prior to assuming charge as Accountant General in this office, she has served as Principal Director of Audit, Defence Services, Pune and Principal Director of Audit (Central), Ahmedabad.

She had been assigned with various foreign assignments like UN Audit - United Nations Peacekeeping Operations- Global Field Support Strategy (UNPKO-GFSS) at New York and GFSS, Financial Audit at New York and Entebbe.
