Retirement cum Death Gratuity The amount of gratuity is enhanced to a maximum of Rs. 20.00 lakhs to the Government Servants who retire on or after 01.04.2018.

Family Pension 30% of the emoluments to a minimum of Rs. 8,500/ and maximum of Rs. 45,180/ per month.

Superannuation Pension

It is granted to a Government servant entitled or compelled by rule to retire at a particular age. At present, the age of superannuation pension is 60 years. (Rule 95 of KCSR)

Retiring Pension

Retiring pension is granted to a Government servant who is permitted to retire in accordance with the provisions of Rule 285 of KCSR. Weightage up to 5 Years of qualifying service shall be given and the total qualifying service so arrived at shall not exceed the qualifying service, which he would have rendered had he retired on superannuation.

Invalid Pension

Invalid pension is granted to a government servant who by bodily or mental infirmity is permanently incapacitated for public service or particular branch of it to which he belongs. (Rule 275 of KCSR)

Compensation Pension

Compensation Pension is sanctioned to a Government servant owing to abolition of a permanent post. He shall be granted pension or gratuity to which he is entitled for the service rendered. (Rule 259 of KCSR)

Minimum Pension

The minimum amount of pension under KCSR is Rs.8500/ per month with effect from 1042018.

Maximum Pension

The ceiling on the maximum amount of various kinds of pension is fixed at Rs. 75,300/ per month with effect from 01/04/2018.

Dearness Allowance

The pensioners including holders of family pension shall continue to be granted Dearness Allowance at the same percentage as is adopted in the case of Government servants.
