The Accountant General (A&E) maintains the individual GPF accounts of the employees of Karnataka State Government appointed prior to 01.04.2006, as per the provisions of KGPF Rules,2016.

Authorizations in respect of Part Final Withdrawals (PFW) and Final Withdrawals (FW) are issued by the office of the Accountant General (A&E) to the subscribers on receipt of Sanction orders in respect of PFW and applications by the subscribers in complete form duly forwarded by the competent authority.

The General Provident Fund Group in the office is headed by an IA & AS officer, in the rank of Deputy Accountant General (DAG).

Constitution of the Fund:
As per the provisions under Rule 3 of KGPF Rules,2016

1. The Fund shall be maintained in Rupees.

2. All sums paid into the Fund under these rules shall be credited in the books of Government to an account named "The General Provident Fund of Karnataka Government Employees".
