INTRODUCTION

Office of Finance and Communication Audit Office, Thiruvananthapuram, headed by Director is one of the branch audit offices of Office of Principal Director of Audit, Finance and Communication, Delhi-110054. The main functions entrusted with the BAO are audit of units under Department of Posts (DoP), Department of Telecommunication (DoT), Public Sector Undertakings (BSNL & ITI) under Ministry of Communications (MoC) and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). Director holds the responsibility of supervising the work of audit and administration & establishment of the BAO. The person-in-position is 45 including one Director (Group A - IA&AS), 8 Senior Audit Officers (Group A - Non-IA&AS) and 14 Assistant Audit Officers (Group B Gazetted officers).

Shri. Suresh Kumar R V is an Indian Audit & Accounts Service (IA&AS) officer of 2020 Batch. He took over the charge of Deputy Director in the O/o Principal Director of Audit, Finance & Communication, Delhi, Branch Office at Thiruvananthapuram on 31 January 2024. He is a graduate in Commerce and an alumni of the prestigious Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram & Government Arts College, Thiruvananthapuram. He started his career in the Office of the Accountant General (A&E), Kerala in the year 1988 and served in various groups like Funds, GE, Administration, Pension, Legal, Accounts, ITS groups in different capacities. He also served as the Secretary to three Principal Accountant Generals while at A&E Kerala. Prior to the present posting, he was Deputy Accountant General at the office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E) West Bengal, Kolkata, holding the charge of Accounts & VLC and Funds.
