The Branch Office at Dharwad was opened with effect from 1st December 1988 vide O.O No. AG(AU)I/Admn./A4/88-89 File No. 88(i)/AS 45 dated 25.11.1988. The Branch office Dharwad started functioning from 01.12.1988. The Branch office is assigned with the functions of vetting of Inspection Reports (Cluster 4 & 5) of 13 districts, persuasion of Inspection Reports, Objections, proposals of Draft Notes, apart from Establishment & Administration of Branch Office The Branch Office at Dharwad was opened with effect from 1st December 1988 vide O.O No. AG(AU)I/Admn/A4/88-89 File No. 88(i)/AS 45 dated 25.11.1988. The Branch office is assigned with the functions of Vetting of draft IRs and all correspondence relating to cluster 4 (excluding TGS of GPs) pertaining to 14 Districts (Bidar, Kalaburagi, Raichur, Yadgir, Vijayapura, Belagavi, Dharawada, Uttara Kannada, Gadaga, Ballari, Haveri, Bagalakote, Koppala and Vijayanagara), persuasion of Inspection Reports, Objections, proposals of Draft Notes, apart from Establishment & Administration of the Branch Office.
