Overview

This Report for the year ended 31 March 2022 has been prepared for laying on the table of Uttar Pradesh State Legislature under Article 151 of the Constitution of India.

The Report contains an overview of significant audit observations and five chapters.

Chapter I of the Report narrates the general information about auditee entities, audit coverage, responses of Government to Audit, status of outstanding inspection reports, follow up action on earlier Audit Reports, status of audit of accounts of entities, status of laying of Annual Reports/Accounts along with Separate Audit Reports of entities in the State Legislature and recoveries at the instance of Audit.

Chapter II of the Report narrates financial performance of State Public Sector Undertakings which includes investment in State Public Sector Undertakings and budgetary support, return from Public Sector Undertakings, analysis of long-term loans of Public Sector Undertakings (Debt Servicing), operating efficiency of Public Sector Undertakings and losses incurred by Public Sector Undertakings.

Chapter III of the Report contains oversight role of Comptroller and Auditor General of India – audit of accounts of PSUs.

Chapter IV of the Report includes results of audit of ‘Planning and Implementation of Transmission Projects by Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Limited’. It also includes three audit paragraphs relating to State Public Sector Undertakings.

Chapter V of the Report includes seven audit paragraphs relating to Departments and Entities of the Government of Uttar Pradesh (other than PSUs).

       The total financial impact of audit findings is ₹ 322.97 crore.
