1. Welfare Cells oversee the quality of foods supplied by Accountant General’s Departmental Canteen (AGDC) to the Officers and Staff Members of all the three Audit Offices and hygienic, tasty and with quantity.
  2. Attending Canteen Committee Meeting on behalf of the Offices of all the three Audit Offices relating to canteen activities, purchase of canteen utensils, condemnation of obsolete items, increase of price/decrease of food items, change of menu items, improvement of the quality and quantity of the food items supplied to the Audit Offices.
  3. In case of medical emergency, the Welfare Cells administer First-aid to the staff members and admit them in the nearby hospitals and also assist in getting Medical admission / Treatment in the CGHS Hospitals.  Arranges for Blood donation to the Officers and Staff Members in need.  Assist in getting Medical advance from all the three Audit Offices / AG’s Office Cooperative Credit Society and handing over the same to the family members / hospitals.
  4. Assist the family members in connection with the hospital treatment of the staff members of all the three Audit Offices and also in getting medical advance from all the three Audit Offices / AG’s Office Cooperative Credit Society and handing over the same to the family members/hospitals for the better treatment of the Government Servant.
  5. Attending Death / Funeral ceremony of deceased Government Servant as a mark of respect to the Government Servant and disbursing immediate death relief of Rs.25,000 from Office.  (i) IA&AD Benevolent Fund amount of Rs.5,000 for members (ii) Rs.3,000 for non-members and (iii) Rs.25,000/- from AG’s Office Cooperative Credit Society.
  6. Arrangement for Condolence Meeting in respect of deceased Government Servant and communicating the Condolence resolution to the family members.
  7. Assisting the family members in connection with the Compassionate Appointment in coordination with the Administration in collection of necessary records and submission of Spot Residential Verification Report.
  8. Assisting the Administration in connection with Sports Quota Recruitment of Sports Players in various disciplines for all three Audit Offices.
  9. Propose note to grant permission to Sports Quota Players / Officials participating in the various sports events and also grant Special Casual Leave (SCL) / ON Duty permission for participation in the National/International sports events.
  10. Attending Central Government Employees Coordination Committee meetings in connection with the declaration of Closed Holidays / Restricted Holidays and the same will be communicated to the Administration and OM Section for further action.
  11. Conduct of Farewell Functions to the retiring staff members of all the three Audit Offices.
  12. Conducting IA&AD Sports Tournaments and other recreational events like, Music Programme, Health Awareness Programme / Lecture, etc., for the staff members of all the three Audit Offices.
  13. Welfare Cells conducts observance of Sadbhavana Diwas, Anti-terrorism day, Swacch Bharat, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, Yoga Day, International Women’s Day, Birth Anniversary of Dr.B.R. Ambedkar and also coordinate with the OM Section in connection with Martyr s Day and other functions conducted for all the three Audit Offices.
  14. Welfare Assistants act as a Manager of AG (TN) Sports Team for participation in the IA&AD Sports Tournament and also observe the performance of the sports Quota recruited players participating in the IA&AD Tournaments.
  15. Attending AGORC meeting as a representative of the Audit Offices and express the views on behalf of the Audit Offices.
  16. Periodically visiting the RA Units / Branch Office to ascertain the Welfare needs of the Officers and Staff Members and convey the same to the Administration.
  17. Assisting Group ‘A’ Officers (age 40 and above) for the Annual Master Health Check-up at CGHS Hospitals.
  18. Assisting the Group Officer, Staff Members and Pensioners of all the three Audit Offices in getting CGHS plastic cards.
  19. Purchase of emergency first-aid medicines for the issue of staff members if needed.
  20. Coordinating with Secretary, IA&AD Benevolent Fund in connection with sanction of Education Loan to the Group C and Group D staff members of all the three Audit Offices.
  21. Attending Hindi OLIC (Official Language Implementation Committee Meeting) arranged by Hindi Section and the instructions of the Hindi Section carried out by the Welfare Cell from time to time.
  22. Forwarding of applications of the eligible Wards (Boys / Girls) of Government Servant for the Educational Scholarship in connection with Sneh Lata Narang and Sanjeev Saluja Scholarship Schemes.
  23. Attending the Disaster Committee Meeting and arrange Mock Drill and training programme on Fire prevention and Fire Protection to the Staff Members of all the three Audit Offices in coordination with Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services Department, Tamil Nadu.
  24. Issue of authorization letters to the staff members in connection with their stay in the Holiday Homes etc.
  25. Conducting Flag Day celebration and collecting contributions from Officers and Staff Members of all the three Audit Offices and the same will be credited to the Army Relief Fund.
  26. Assist the Government Servant who is suffering from drug addiction, emotional/ physiological problems, stress etc for getting counselling from Doctors and for further treatment.
  27. Any other works entrusted by the Welfare Officer from time to time.
