PRINCIPAL DIRECTOR OF AUDIT
Ms. R. Narmadha, IA&AS assumed charge as Principal Director of Audit (Central), Chennai on 20.04.2026. She belongs to 2008 batch of Indian Audit and Accounts Service. Prior to assuming this, she held charge of the Principal Director, Regional Capacity Building and Knowledge Institute, Chennai.
She holds a master’s degree in law. She also holds the following professional credentials:
- Certified Information Systems Auditor
- Certified Internal Auditor
- Certified Fraud Examiner
- Tableau Analyst
Since 2010, she has held charges in various offices of IAAD in the fields of Works Audit, Civil Audit, Commercial Audit, Accounts and Entitlements, Data Analytics, etc. She has served as Deputy Accountant General / Deputy Director / Director / Senior Deputy Accountant General/Accountant General in the following offices-
- O/o the Principal Accountant General (Civil Audit), Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry
- Centre for Data Management & Analytics in O/o CAG, New Delhi
- International Centre for Information Systems and Audit, Noida
