Report No.5 of 2017-Social, General and Economic Sectors Government of Punjab
Overview
In accordance with Article 151 of the Constitution of India, the Report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India on Social, General and Economic Sectors (Non-Public Sector Undertakings)for the year ended 31 March 2017 - Government of Punjab, was presented to the State Legislature on 22.03.2018.
The Report comprises of three Chapters.
Chapter-I contains the financial profile of the State, planning and conduct of audit and follow-up on Audit Reports.
Chapter-II deals with the findings of four Performance Audits viz.(i) Working of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, (ii) Management of Cancer Control Programme in Punjab, (iii) Working of Greater Mohali Area Development Authority and (iv) Implementation of schemes for educational development of Scheduled Caste students.
Chapter-III deals with audit findings on Compliance Audit in various Departments comprising 27 paragraphs.
