The Report has been prepared for submission to the Governor of Maharashtra under Comptroller and Auditor General’s (Duties, Powers and Conditions of Service Act) Act, 1971. This performance Audit covering the period 2014-15 to 2020-21 was conducted to assess whether (i) MIDC was able to achieve its objective of planned and systematic industrial development through creation of Industrial Areas (ii) Proper system existed for fixation of price and land allotment was fair and transparent in line with prevailing policies/rules/regulations (iii)Internal control system was effective to ensure timely recovery of revenue/dues at appropriate price and (iv) Monitoring system was adequate and effective in ensuring utilisation of land for the intended purposes.
Apart from the Head Office, 11 Regional Offices out of 16 Regional Offices were selected for Audit considering revenue earned and geographical representation of all the five regions of the State.
The report contains six chapters. The Audit has been conducted in conformity with the Auditing Standards issued by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India.
