This Report for the year ended March 2019 has been prepared for submission to the Governor of Maharashtra under Article 151(2) of the Constitution of India. Part A of this Reports relates to audit of General and Social Sector of the Government Departments and Part B relates to audit of the Public Sector Undertakings of Government of Maharashtra. The Report contains significant result of compliance audit which included three thematic audit on Implementation of Jalyukta Shivar Abhiyan, Mapping of underground utility services and Strengthening/upgradation of State Government Medical Colleges for starting post graduate courses and creating post graduate seats under General and Social Sector. This Report also contains an overview of Government Companies and Statutory Corporations and five compliance audit paragraphs under Public Sector Undertakings.
The instances mentioned in this Report are those, which came to notice in the course of test audit for the period 2018-19 as well as those which came to notice in earlier years, but could not be reported in the previous Audit Reports; instances relating to the period subsequent to 2018-19 have also been included, wherever necessary.
The audit has been conducted in conformity with the Auditing Standards issued by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India.
