Introduction

Audit Management Group II conducts Compliance/ Audit of the following 18 (eighteen) Departments under Government of Assam as well as Performance/Thematic Audit of topic/schemes related to those 18 departments. Social Sector presently conducts audit of 1,041 Auditee Units, 67 State Autonomous Bodies and World Bank Aided Projects, which require certification by the Accountant General (Audit). The Sector also prepare 2 (two) Separate Audit Reports (SARs) in respect of Assam Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board and Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights along with Audit Report of 03 (three) Autonomous District Councils under Sixth Schedule Areas viz. Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) and Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC).
