Overview

Report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India on General, Social, Economic and Revenue Sectors for the year ended 31 March 2023 (Report No. 2 of 2025) has been prepared for submission to the Governor of Manipur under Article 151 of the Constitution of India. This Report contains six Chapters:

Chapter I deals with General Sector. This chapter contains one compliance audit paragraph of Tribal Affairs and Hills Department.

Chapter II deals with Social Sector. This chapter contain one performance audit each for Department of Labour and Employment and Municipal Administration Housing and Urban Development (MAHUD) Department. Two compliance audit paragraphs were also featured in respect of Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (RD&PR).

Chapter III deals with Economic Sector (Other than Public Sector Enterprises). This Chapter contains one performance audit of Tourism Department and two Compliance Audit paragraphs of Public Works Department and Trade, Commerce and Industries Department.

Chapter IV deals with Economic Sector (State Public Sector Enterprises). It features the working of State Public Sector Enterprises in the State.

Chapter V deals with Revenue Sector. It narrates the trend of revenue receipts of the State Government. This Chapter contains four compliance audit paragraphs (including one Subject Specific Compliance audit paragraph) of Taxation Department, Transport Department and Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj.

Chapter VI deals with Follow up of Audit Observations. This chapter points out the follow up on Audit Reports, Action Taken on Recommendation of Public Accounts Committee, Monitoring compliance of Audit Observations and Response to Audit Observations and outstanding Inspection Reports by the State Government.
