Overview

This report contains significant results of the Performance Audit on “Compensatory Afforestation in the State of Himachal Pradesh” covering the period from April 2006 to March 2021 for efficacy of CA cases and CAT plans and April 2016 to March 2021 for effective implementation of Forest Conservation Act, 1980. The figures for the year 2021-22 have been included at appropriate places. Records at the offices of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF), including reporting branches, HP Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (the State Authority), Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (APCCF) (Working Plan and Settlements) and APCCF (Research and Training) were scrutinised.
