Overview:
Administration wing of the Office is entrusted with the work related to Human Resource Management including their capacity building, Material Resources Management and General functioning of the office. Administration also deals with Legal and RTI cases. The Preparation of State Finance Report and audit of Appropriation Accounts of the State of Punjab is also carried out by the Sr. DAG (Administration).
Functions and Responsibilities
General Administration:
Recruitments, Promotions, Transfer & Postings and Retirement cases of the Staff. Conduct of Examination, Grant of Loans and Advances, MACP, Annual Increments, Leave Account, Permission for Higher Education, Deputations etc. Procurement of Goods and Services for the Office. Maintenance of Hardware and Software including upkeeps of official local Website. This office has a library of reference books required for the day today working of the office.
RTI, Training, Pay Fixation and Pension Grievance Redressal, Office Establishment, Hindi Cell:
Applications and Appeal cases under Right to Information Act 2005. For capacity building of the Staff, need based trainings to Staff are provided on the basis of annual training schedule/calendar. Pension related grievances of Retired Staff Members are also dealt with. Processing of Pay and Entitlements of Staff, TA Bills, Medical Bills, LTC Bills, Credit Slips, Expenditure Report, Implementation of Guidelines issued by Rajbhasha Vibhag for the usage of hindi in office are also carried out through the Hindi cell under Administration.
Estate Management Function:
Upkeep and Maintenance of Office Building/Guest House/Residential Colony. Estate functions of the IAAD residential colony in Chandigarh station.
State Finance Report and Financial Audit Functions:
Preparation of CAGs Annual Reports on State Finance for the Government of Punjab including Certification of Finance and Appropriation Accounts. Audit of sanctions of Government of Punjab and preparation of Audit Notes.
