Branch Office, Port Blair, A&NI Islands:
In March 1971, Regional Audit Office was opened at Port Blair entrusting it with the work of audit and accounting of the transaction of the Central Government in ANI. Subsequently, it was upgraded as a Branch Office. Presently this Branch Office looks into the finance and Appropriation Accounts of the Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar. They also conduct audits of various Central and Union Territory Government Units located in the territory of these Islands. The Pay & Accounts functions for the Branch Office are also vested therein.
