Direct tax wing is one of the receipt audit wings of the office of the Director General of Audit (Central), Ahmedabad where the Income Tax revenue audit is conducted under the overall supervision of the Director General of Audit (Central), Ahmedabad. The DT wing functions under the charge of a Group Officer supported by field inspection parties and headquarter staff. Each field inspection party is headed by a Sr. Audit Officer and consists of two Asstt. Audit Officer (AAO) and one Sr. Auditor/ Auditor. The work at DT headquarters is managed by a group of well-experienced SAOs, AAOs, and Sr. Auditors/Auditors/Supervisors.
