Shri Dattaprasad Shirsat belongs to 2009 batch of the Indian Audit and Accounts Service. He has assumed charge of Accountant General (Audit)-II, Maharashtra on 16 October 2024.
Shri Shirsat holds BSL, LLB degrees from Symbiosis Law College, University of Pune and has earlier served in various IAAD field offices at Hyderabad, Guwahati, Goa and Delhi. He has also worked as Director, iCISA (International Centre for Information Systems and Audit) and as Director (Legal) in CAG Headquarters.
Shri Shirsat has conducted audits of International Bodies like United Nations (UN) and International Labour Organization (ILO) in USA, Peru & Brazil. He has also led Audit team conducting audit of Indian Embassy and Indian PSUs in Kuwait.
Shri Shirsat has also represented Supreme Audit Institution of India in various international fora viz. 7th Indo-China Young Auditors Forum in China, 17th Meeting of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) Working Group in UAE, Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) seminar & International Monetary Fund (IMF) workshop in Philippines.
