AMG-II Sector of the office of the Principal Accountant General (Audit) has been entrusted with the Compliance Audit of the expenditure of seven Government Departments falling under the jurisdiction of Social Sector in Jharkhand. These social departments of the Jharkhand Government are Rural Development (including Panchayati Raj Institutions), Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, Minority and Backward Class Welfare, Health, Medical Education & Family Welfare, Agriculture, Animal husbandry and co-operative, Food, Public distribution and consumer affairs, Water Resources and Women, Child Development & Social Security . Of the seven departments, under the Audit Universe of AMG-II, there are 7152 auditable units. Amongst these units, risk profile of each unit is mapped every year using parameters such as data collection exercise, identification of thrust /critical/focus areas, inherent risk, control risk and object wise average expenditure. On the preceding parameters, risk matrix of the unit is found out and accordingly, Annual Audit plan is prepared. Besides, this section conducts Performance Audit and Financial audit (externally aided projects being implemented in seven departments). For the conduct of PA, pilot study of the proposed topic is conducted to see the subject topicality, materiality and relevancy. This wing also audits Autonomous Bodies and PSUs under the Administrative control of the Government of Jharkhand.

AMG-II under the control of Dy. Accountant General/AMG-II is further divided into four sections to discharge the work assigned in an effective manner. Each section is under the direct control of Assistant Audit Officers and under full supervision of their respective Sr. Audit Officer. Each Assistant Audit Officers are assisted by Auditors/Sr. Auditors, Clerks and Multi-Tasking Staffs Details of sub-division of AMG-II is shown below:
