Overview
The Building Construction Department of the Government of Jharkhand is responsible for construction and maintenance of all State Government buildings. A Chief Controlling Officer (CCO) based audit of the department disclosed non-preparation of plans, weak financial management, non-adherence to the provisions of the Jharkhand Public Works Department Code and Accounts Code, poor implementation of schemes, shortage of manpower, absence of training and lack of monitoring and internal control.
