Overview

This Report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India contains significant results of Compliance Audit of the Ministry of Communications and Ministry of Electronics &Information Technology and the Departments/Public Sector Undertakings under these Ministries. The instances mentioned in this Report are those which came to notice in the course of test audit during the period 2016-17 as well as those which came to notice in earlier years,but could not be reported in the previous Audit Reports.

This Report contains significant audit findings which arose from the compliance audit of the Ministry of Communications and Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology. It contains four chapters. Chapter I gives brief introduction of the Ministry of Communications and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology while Chapters II to IV relate to findings/observations arising out of the compliance/performance audit of Department of Posts (DoP),Ministry of Electronics &Information Technology (MeitY) and Public Sector Undertakings under the Ministry.
