He did his Masters in Botany from University of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh in the year 2002. He joined Indian Audit & Account Service as a probationer in the year 2007 at National Academy of Audit & Account, Shimla and completed his Departmental training in the year 2009. He started his career as Assistant Accountant General in the office of the Accountant General (A&E)-I, Uttar Pradesh from August 2009 to August 2010. He was posted as Deputy Accountant General in the O/o Accountant General (C&RA), Uttar Pradesh from August 2010 to April 2011 and audited the state Government receipts viz. commercial tax, state excise, stamp and registration, entertainment tax etc. Between April 2011 to April 2012 he served as Deputy Accountant General in the O/o Principal Accountant General (G&SSA), Uttar Pradesh. Between September 2012 to June 2015 he served as Deputy Accountant General in the O/o Accountant General (A&E)-II, Uttar Pradesh. Between July 2015 to April 2016 he served as Senior Deputy Accountant General in the O/o Accountant General (A&E)-II, Uttar Pradesh. Between April 2016 to April 2020 he served as Director AMG-IV in the O/o Director General of Audit (Economic & Services Ministries), New Delhi and looked after the audit of the Central Ministries viz Road Transport & Highways, Mines & Minerals, Steel sector etc. In his tenure at AG (Audit-II) UP Lucknow he was associated with the audit of PWD, Forest Deptt, UPRNN, UPBCU etc apart from the charge of office administration. He was engaged with audit assignments of various UN agencies like UNICEF, OCHA etc and visited various countries like Nepal, China, Myanmar, Indonesia, Kenya, Ethiopia etc. He also participated in Management Development Programme in University of California at Berkeley and also attended Indo-China Young Auditors forum.

Between January 2023 to October 2023 he served as Accountant General in the office of the Accountant General(A&E)-II, Uttar Pradesh, Prayagraj. He has joined the post as Accountant General in office of the Accountant General on 11.10.2023.
