The Office of the Principal director of Audit (Railway Commercial) (O/o PDA/RC), New Delhi came into existence in May, 2012 after restructuring with the responsibility to audit of non-commercial entities such as COFMOW, Railway Coach Factory, Kapurthala, Diesel Loco Modernization Works, Patiala, Railway Land Development Authority, New Delhi and 22 Railway PSUs. However, as per directions of CAG office, non-commercial auditee entities had been transferred to the office of the DGA (Northern Railway), New Delhi in the month of April, 2017. Therefore, as of now, the office has audit jurisdiction over Railway Commercial PSUs only which have increased to 30. As of now, the Principal Director of Audit (Railway-Commercial) is the head of the office who is assisted by one Dy. Director. This Office of the Principal Director of Audit (Railway Commercial) is field office of Commercial Audit Wing of the C&AG’s office. It functions under the direct control of Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General (Railway).
