Financial Audit
As per CAG’s (DPC) Act, 1971 and Companies Act, 2013, this office conducts supplementary audit of accounts of Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs), Statutory Corporations and Central Autonomous Bodies in the capacity of sub-auditor. Financial audit in respect of the above categories of auditee is conducted by this office and observations on the financial statements, if any along-with reply of the auditee is sent to the Principal Auditors for necessary action at their end.
As per Section 19 (2) of the CAG’s (DPC) Act, 1971 and DVC Act, 1948 Branch office, DVC (Hqrs.), of office of the DGA (Mines), Kolkata conducts audit of accounts of Damodar Valley Corporation (Corporation). It is the sole auditor of the Corporation. Financial audit in respect of the Corporation is conducted by this office and observations on the financial statements, if any along-with reply of the auditee included in Audit Report of the Corporation in its Annual Report.
There are two Resident Audit Offices (RAO) at Durgapur Thermal Power Station, Durgapur and Chandrapura Thermal Power Stations, Chandrapura.
