Co-ordination Kolkata Port Trust-ABs
As per CAG’s (DPC) Act, 1971 this office conducts audit of accounts of Central Autonomous Bodies (CAB) in the capacity of principal auditor and Grants-in-aid audit as sub-auditor. Financial audit of four CABs viz. Kolkata Port Trust, Paradip Port Trust, Calcutta Dock Labour Board and National Jute Board are conducted by this office and observations on the financial statements, if any along-with reply of the auditee is sent to the CAG’s Office and finally these are issued as SAR to the Ministry and Management for being tabled at both Houses of the Parliament. This office also conducts Financial Audit of some other unit as selected by CAG office as sub-auditor and observations along with reply of the auditee if any is sent to their Principal Auditors for necessary action at their end.
