Ms.Gurveen Sidhu, an officer from 1995 batch of Indian Audit and Accounts Service is a B.Com., CA, C.I.A. and MPhil. Currently, she is posted as Director General of Audit, Environment and Scientific Departments, New Delhi. During her career of 27 years in the Department, she has worked in various capacities in Headquarters office as well as in field offices located both in India and abroad including Ahmedabad, Delhi, Gwalior, Chandigarh, Shillong and London. She has also been deputed for short term foreign audit assignments related to financial audit and compliance audit of FAO and IMO at Rome, Geneva and Manila apart from various trainings abroad. She also represents SAI India on the Financial Auditing & Accounting Sub Committee of Professional Standards Committee of INTOSAI. Her areas of work have been Strategic Management, Professional Practices and Policy, Receipt Audit, Commercial Audit, Central Audit, Scientific Audit, Training etc. She has also served in Department of Fertilizers under the Ministry of Chemical and Fertilizers, New Delhi as Joint Secretary from March 2018 to August 2020. |
