AMG-II - Introduction

The AMG-II Section or Commercial Audit Wing under the Office of the Accountant General (Audit) was constituted mainly to conduct audit of the State Government Companies, Statutory Corporations/Boards formed under separate Acts of Legislature and Central/State Autonomous Bodies. ES-II Section also conducts accounts audit of Government Companies and Statutory Corporations under Section 619(3) of the Companies Act, 1956/Section 143 (6) (a) of the Companies Act 2013 and respective legislature respectively. As on 31 March 2019, in Meghalaya, there were 17 PSUs (15 Government Companies and 2 Statutory Corporations).
