Profile of Shri Rajiv Kumar Pandey
Shri Rajiv Kumar Pandey is a senior Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS) officer of the 1994 batch with over 30 years of distinguished experience in public sector auditing, financial management, governance, and institutional leadership. Holding a Master's degree in English Literature, along with an LL.B. and an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi, he has built an illustrious career across diverse domains, including Central Audit, State Audit, Defence, Railways, Commercial Audit, Accounts & Entitlement, and Overseas Audit. He is presently serving as Additional Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General (ADAI) in the office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, where he is entrusted with Capacity Building in Urban Development, Housing, and Procurement and also having charge of Director General (iCED), Jaipur.
Throughout his career, Shri Pandey has held several key leadership positions, including Principal Accountant General (Audit), Uttar Pradesh; Director General of Audit (Central Expenditure); Director General of Audit, Northern Railway; Accountant General in Madhya Pradesh; and Principal Director of Audit, Air Force. He also served on deputation as Chief Accounts Officer in the Delhi Development Authority and represented India through overseas postings, including as Principal Director of Audit, Washington. His extensive administrative and audit experience has contributed significantly to strengthening public accountability and financial governance.
Shri Pandey has undergone numerous advanced training programmes in strategic leadership, performance audit, IT audit, ERP systems, statistical sampling, corporate finance, government finance statistics, and management development at premier institutions such as the National Academy of Audit and Accounts (NAAA), Indian School of Business (ISB), and iCISA. His expertise has been further enriched through international assignments and external audits in countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Australia, Switzerland, Italy, the Philippines, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Egypt, and China, reflecting his global exposure in public sector auditing and financial oversight.
