He is an officer of Indian Audit & Accounts Service. He joined as Principal Accountant General(Audit), Uttarakhand in September 2021. He has worked in office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India as Director General (Local Bodies), Director General (Direct Taxes) and Principal Director (Union Accounts). He has also worked as Accountant General in the states of Andhra pradesh ,Telangna, Mizoram and Tripura. His foreign assignments/Depuations are as follows; Minister (Audit) in the High Commission of India, London; Ex-officio Director of External Audit, International Organisation of Migration, Geneva, International Auditor Fellowship at GAO Washignton DC USA; External Audit of World Health Organisation in Malaysia, Switzerland Democratic Republic of Congo; Audit of Indian Embassies/High Commission at Colombo, Port Louis (Mauritius) and Nicosia (Cyprus).
