Sr. Deputy Accountant General (AMG-III) is in charge of the Group. Audit Management Group- III was entrusted the work of audit of departments coming under the Finance Cluster and the preparation of State Finance Audit Report.
Finance Cluster
The auditee units of Revenue Receipts of the State of Maharashtra under the following categories are audited by the Finance Cluster.
1. Stamp Duty & Registration Fees
2. State Taxes (VAT & GST)
3. State Excise
4. Professional Tax
5. Ancillary Subjects (Finance, Planning)
The expenditure audit is also being carried out along with the audit of Revenue Receipts.
State Finance Audit Report
The State Finance Report is prepared under Article 151 of the Constitution of India for submission to the Governor of State (Maharashtra). The report contains an overview and status of the State Government’s compliance with various procedures and directives relating to financial reporting during the current year.
