Principal Accountant General (Audit), Jammu and Kashmir
Shri S. Sunil Raj, IAAS, belongs to the 1996 batch of the Civil Services. He holds a Master's degree in Economics from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, as well as a Master's degree in Defence and Strategic Studies from the University of Madras.
Prior to his posting in Jammu & Kashmir, he served as Director General in India Audit Office at London and as Principal Accountant General, Keralam and Accountant General, Madhya Pradesh.
During his deputation to the Government of Kerala, he was member (Accounts) on the Board of the Kerala Water Authority. His international audit assignments include the audit of the United Nations, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
An avid badminton player, his other interests include reading, gardening, water conservation, and renewable and green energy sources.
