Principal Director (Audit)
Shri P. V. Hari Krishna belongs to the 2000 batch of the Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS) and took charge as Principal Director/ Minister (Audit), India Audit Office, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 05.09.2023. He hails from the State of Andhra Pradesh. He is a Post Graduate and his educational qualifications include a Master of Science (Sericulture) from Bangalore University, Bangalore, a Master of Science (Defense and Strategic Studies) from Defense Services Staff College, Wellington and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Public Administration from Maxwell School, Syracuse University, USA. Earlier, he served in the Army Headquarters, Ministry of Defense, Government of India as an Assistant Civilian Staff Officer. After joining IA&AS, he served the Indian Audit and Accounts Department in various capacities and gained rich experience in Accounts as well as Audit of various sectors. He was also on deputation to the Central Bureau of Investigation as Superintendent of Police and handled several key investigations. As a Director in the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India he contributed to the growth of India’s bilateral trade with the USA, Canada and Mexico and boosted marine food products export to the world. He had several international assignments and represented India in various capacities. Also conducted audit of United Nations World Food Programe, Rome, World Health Organisation, Geneva and Organisation for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, The Hague. Before joining the current position, he was Accountant General (Audit) – I, Maharashtra.
